Congratulations to Brie Marks who told a wonderful story about not being latina but grew up in a Spanish environment which is a great part of her make up. Brie will be invited to our Grand Slam in November.

Our Story Slam Summer Program
While the slam takes a break from our normal events, we are proud to announce three events for the summer well worth seeing.
June 20th brings us our first Spanish Speaking Story Slam. We are partnering with two Spanish groups to present an evening of Latin fun. Price is $10.00 and all proceeds go to charity.
July 11 will be a story discussion of what it means to be Irish as told by Irish people on both sides of the ocean. The stories and discussion will be a brief history of the past and the promise of new understanding that was started with the “Good Friday Peace Treaty” Price is free.
August 15 will be a veteran’s story slam. Stories will be shared by both men and women veterans. Price is $10 but all proceeds with go to the veteran’s association.
The beauty of such evenings and of storytelling itself is that the author is also part of the audience and more importantly the audience becomes part of the author. It embraces the things we have in common and transcends all differences such as age, politics, race and sex. It can even begin friendships.
This a fun night of stories for the audience, told by folks like you. We are happy to celebrate three years in the Lehigh Valley.
Congratulations to Alex Ahmad
This concluded our third year of story slam. We are going to do speciality shows June, July and August with the regular story slam beginning in September. Please stay tuned for further information. If you want to be part of our news letter send your email to dennis@lehighvalleystoryslam.com
May 16 Will be a Very Special Time
We will be celebrating our third anniversary in a very special way. When we look back, we have shared close to 450 stories, a lot of touching moments and a lot of laughter.
To celebrate, we will have an “unplugged” version of sharing stories. Rather that using the usual performance venue we plan to sit around and reflect on stories that are near and dear to us. In addition, we will have a “mini-slam” which will include students from Moravian Academy doin their best and telling their stories.
We also want to inform everyone that the price is free for this event. We will also share what we are planning for June, July and August. Please come and be part of the family.
Congratulations to our April Winner
Taylor deCastro told a wonderful story about spring, hearts and winning. She is a student of Moravian Academy and will be participating in our Tri-High School Story Slam next Thursday.
Our April Story Slam is April 25th.
