OUR GRAND SLAM EVENT IS POSTPONED

FROM NOVEMBER 14 TO FEBRUARY 26

Because of conflicts we have decided to postpone the Grand Slam.  Our board is planning great story slam events for next year and what better way to kick of our new model than to hold the Grand Slam as our first event.

We will continue to sponsor a charity which each event and will let you know our choice for the February event.  We thank you for your participation and look forward to the new season.  In the mean time, please have a wonderful holiday season.

Our Story Slam Summer Program

While the slam takes a break from our normal events, we are proud to announce three events for the summer well worth seeing.

June 20th brings us our first Spanish Speaking Story Slam.  We are partnering with two Spanish groups to present an evening of Latin fun.  Price is $10.00 and all proceeds go to charity.

July 11 will be a story discussion of what it means to be Irish as told by Irish people on both sides of the ocean.  The stories and discussion will be a brief history of the past and the promise of new understanding that was started with the “Good Friday Peace Treaty” Price is free.

August 15 will be a veteran’s story slam.  Stories will be shared by both men and women veterans.  Price is $10 but all proceeds with go to the veteran’s association.

The beauty of such evenings and of storytelling itself is that the author is also part of the audience and more importantly the audience becomes part of the author.  It embraces the things we have in common and transcends all differences such as age, politics, race and sex.  It can even begin friendships.

This a fun night of stories for the audience, told by folks like you.   We are happy to celebrate three years in the Lehigh Valley.
